Why do utility lines fail?
What causes cracks, holes, or leaks in utility lines?

  Time.
Wear and tear over time. It can be that simple. Over time, seals can become dried out and your house can shift and settle. A small crack develops and leads to a leak. Next thing you know, your utility line has failed.
Weather.
Freezing, thawing; rain, snow; each change of seasons brings with it a different challenge to your utility lines, and the potential for cracks and leaks.
Landscaping.
We all admire the beauty of a landscape graced with trees and shrubbery, but plant roots are not friends of your utility lines. Wrapping themselves around your lines, they can easily cause cracks and leaks.

  Do I really need this?
Isn't my utility company responsible for my lines?

If your are like most homeowners, you may be surprised to learn that you are responsible for the repair and replacement of your broken or leaking utility lines. And some homeowners believe that utility lines simply do not fail. However, even slight changes in the weather, normal wear and tear, landscaping, and the natural shifting of your home can cause utility lines to crack, leak or pull apart, leaving you without utility service and responsible for the repair. So why not get protected? Call 1-866-922-9006 today and enroll in the warranty programs that are right for you.

What exactly does my warranty protect?
Depending on the warranties you select, our warranties cover the repair or replacement (up to the program limit) of your utility line(s) due to normal wear and tear. For complete terms and conditions on all of our products, we invite you to call us toll free at 1-866-922-9006 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

  When does my warranty start?
Warranty coverage begins 30 days from the date of enrollment. Your account must be in good standing (current) in order to be eligible to receive repair service under the Programs.

What do I do if I need a repair?
Simply call our 24-hour hotline number at 1-866-922-9006. We'll send a certified repair professional to your home, usually in less than 24 hours - including holidays and weekends.

What happens to my yard or home after the repair?
Once an outside line is repaired or replaced, our team will provide basic site restoration which includes filling all holes, mounding dirt to allow for settling and re-seeding grassy areas. After an internal line is repaired or replaced, SLW will test the repaired section of pipe for leaks and do a general cleanup. The Warranty Program does not cover restoration of the areas affected by the repair (e.g. restoring concrete, dry wall, paint, plaster or wallpaper) as these costs are typically covered under your Homeowner's policy.

What type of payment options do you offer?
You choose! We have several billing options available. Receive an invoice or, for greater convenience, we can process the payment to your credit card or checking account - monthly or annually. Use your Discover®, VISA® or MasterCard®.

  Is this a long-term commitment?
You may continue your warranty as long as you like. If you change your mind for any reason, you may cancel at any time. Furthermore, our service flexibility allows you to add additional warranties at a later date if you decide to do so.

The Coverage Cap looks adequate but do you have an annual or lifetime restriction on how much you will pay to repair?
No. Unlike some other warranties available, we provide you with the full coverage per incident. We will pay up to your coverage amount each and every time you need us. We do not deduct prior repair expense from your coverage cap or limit the amount we will pay annually.

It sounds good but are there a lot of claim denials?
We are not a "bait and switch" company that lures you in and then manages its bottom line by denying claims or cutting corners. Our only sustainable advantage in the market place is our integrity. Last year, we approved more than 95% of all claims filed. The majority of those denied were due to lapsed coverage.
